To crop Flipkart labels four per page, upload a PDF containing individual shipping-label pages, review each crop and choose the A4 four-label output in quicklabelcrop. The tool arranges the selected labels in a two-by-two grid on each A4 page. Print the resulting PDF with one document page per sheet so that the printer does not apply a second four-up reduction.
Prepare your existing shipping PDF, then review every crop before printing.
Open Flipkart label cropperThis workflow suits sellers using an A4 inkjet or laser printer instead of a dedicated label printer. It can reduce unused paper, but the trade-off is a smaller area for each shipping label. The final format must still preserve readable addresses, complete barcodes and the information required for the shipment.
Check whether your source is ready for four-up output
The easiest input is one shipping label per PDF page, even when each page is A4. quicklabelcrop crops one region from each selected source page and places those regions into the output grid. You can therefore convert a twelve-page individual-label PDF into three A4 sheets with four labels on each.
A source page that already contains four labels is different. The cropper does not automatically identify four separate orders inside that page and split them into four outputs. Before proceeding, open the source and check its structure. If it is already four-up and prints correctly, another four-up conversion may be unnecessary and could make everything too small.
Separate the ideas of orders, source pages and output sheets. One order may have more than one shipment in your actual dispatch records, while an invoice adds pages without adding parcels. Use the shipping records to determine the intended label count, then use page selection to match that count.
Build a useful crop for the smaller cells
Choose Flipkart in the cropper and open the original PDF. Inspect the first suggested crop, then navigate through the other pages. Your goal is to remove blank A4 space and unrelated invoice content while preserving the complete shipping block. A smaller cell makes unnecessary retained space especially costly.
Do not compensate by cutting into the label itself. Keep the address, tracking digits, barcodes, routing text and handling instructions. White space around machine-readable codes is part of a usable label layout, not automatically wasted paper. If the label will not fit clearly after a sensible crop, use a larger print format.
When a lower invoice section is detected with a clear separator, shipping-label mode can suggest a boundary above it. If the page is scanned or the heading is not recognised, review it manually. An invoice-only page should be excluded from the export selection rather than inserted into the grid as an extra label.
Choose pages and confirm the sheet count
Use the “Pages to export” field when the file includes documents you do not need on the parcel. A selection of seven shipping pages creates two A4 sheets: one complete grid of four and a second with three labels. The fourth empty cell is normal and does not need to be filled with a duplicate order.
The selection is processed in source page order. Entering page numbers in a different sequence is not a reliable way to reorder labels in this tool. If your picking process needs products grouped together, arrange that sequence before the printing stage using the appropriate source workflow, and verify it separately.
After selecting the A4 four-label format, download a new PDF and count its pages. Compare the labels on the final sheet with the end of your source selection. This catches incomplete ranges and helps distinguish a legitimate partial sheet from a missed order.
Understand the space available on A4
A4 is 210 millimetres wide and 297 millimetres high. Dividing it into four equal cells gives a theoretical cell of 105 by 148.5 millimetres before margins. That is not a complete 4×6-inch print area. The converter fits each crop within the available cell, leaving room around it.
A long narrow label and a short wide label can therefore appear at different visible sizes even in the same grid. Both are being fitted proportionally. Forcing identical visual heights would require a different layout choice and could distort or clip one of them. Judge the output by readability and completeness, not by whether every box has equal white margins.
If you include an SKU annotation beneath a label, that note also uses space in the cell. Check whether the extra packing benefit outweighs the reduction in the shipping block. A separate picking sheet may be preferable when a label already contains a dense address or several required codes.
Avoid the most common print-dialog mistake
The exported PDF already contains four labels on each A4 page. In the PDF viewer, select A4 paper and leave pages per sheet at one. If you select four pages per sheet again, the software can combine four output grids onto one physical sheet. Sixteen labels may appear where you expected four, with text too small to use.
Start with actual size or 100% printing and print one test sheet. Some printers cannot print to the page edge, but the cropper’s generic arrangement leaves margins. If your printer still scales the page or clips content, inspect the driver and printable-area settings. Do not immediately assume the crop is the source of the problem.
Make sure you are printing the new A4 output rather than the original file. Both may be open in separate viewer tabs and show the same first customer name. Distinct filenames and a quick glance at the four-label page preview prevent this simple but frustrating mistake.
Use the right paper or label stock
Plain A4 paper can be cut after printing, while adhesive A4 sheets may have pre-cut labels and fixed offsets. The generic four-cell output does not promise exact alignment with every commercial four-label sheet. Check the stock specification and test alignment on ordinary paper before using expensive adhesive sheets.
When cutting plain paper, keep the complete shipping content and its surrounding barcode margin. Do not cut so close to a border that the first or last bar is removed. If you attach the label with a pouch or adhesive, use a method appropriate for your courier and package without wrinkling or obscuring the important information.
A paper-saving layout is only useful if the final parcel can be processed correctly. If four-up printing creates labels that are too small for your source design, move to a larger output. Repeated reprints, misreads and packing corrections can cost more than the paper you hoped to save.
Reconcile labels with parcels
Use a fixed reading order for the grid while packing. For example, take top-left, top-right, bottom-left and bottom-right in that sequence. Keep the associated order list arranged consistently. A routine reduces the chance that a cut label is placed beside the wrong parcel when several similar products are on the table.
For multi-variant products, confirm the actual item and quantity rather than relying only on the recipient name. A customer may place separate orders, and similar names are possible. Tracking reference and order information provide a stronger connection between the paper label and the parcel you are preparing.
If a sheet jams or smears, identify exactly which labels need reprinting. Keep unusable copies away from the packing stack. Reprinting a full sheet can be convenient, but the duplicate valid-looking labels should not accidentally be used on extra parcels or mixed into the next batch.
Troubleshoot a crowded or incomplete grid
When one cell looks unusually small, check that source page for extra retained content. It may still include an invoice or a wide side element outside the shipping block. Correct only what is unrelated, then regenerate the output. Do not remove a legitimate shipping field just to make the cell resemble its neighbours.
When an address is cut off, revisit the page’s individual crop. A shared crop may have been too short for that customer. When a barcode is complete in the PDF but faint on paper, investigate the printer, ink or toner and media. These problems require different fixes even though both appear in the final grid.
If the source barcode is a low-resolution image, an export cannot create missing detail. Return to a better original where available. The cropper’s print rendering is useful for layout preparation, but it is not a barcode-reconstruction service and should not be presented as lossless restoration.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put four different Flipkart orders on one A4 sheet?
Yes, when each order’s shipping label is on a separate selected source page. The four-label layout places those crops into one output sheet in source order. Review the tracking references to confirm that the intended orders were selected.
Why is the last A4 page only partly filled?
The number of selected labels may not be divisible by four. Five labels need two sheets, and the second contains one label. This is normal. Do not repeat labels solely to fill the empty cells unless you intentionally need identified replacement copies.
Is four-up output the same as a thermal label?
No. Four-up output is an A4 page containing four smaller label placements. A thermal export creates individual 4×6 pages. Choose the layout that matches your printer, stock and shipment requirements rather than treating the two formats as interchangeable.
